Today the A. C. Blunt HOPE Squad traveled to the Good Samaritan Homeless Shelter in Corpus Christi to distribute 200 hygiene packs. Each pack had a toothbrush and toothpaste, a comb and brush, shampoo and conditioner, as well as tissue, soap, lotion, socks, and lip balm. The items were purchased with grant money from the Education Foundation. Also, an organization in New Jersey, called Blankets of Hope, donated 200 blankets that we were able to hand out to the residents.

Did you know that APISD will have no change to the overall tax rate with VATRE approval?
With the passage of the VATRE, the overall tax rate (Maintenance & Operations + Interest & Sinking) will be the same in 2025 as the 2024 rate of $0.8088 while generating approximately $936,611 in additional revenue for district operations. Learn more information about how this is possible and find answers to your questions by visiting www.apisd.org/page/vatre-faq. Have a question that’s not addressed? Submit it through our form on the page!
