Hello Panthers,

My name is Lisa Durham, and I am the new counselor at A.C. Blunt Middle School.  I have been in education for 30 years; 10 as a middle school reading and math teacher and 20 as a school counselor.  I am married to Jody, have three adult stepchildren, two adult children and 5 grandsons.  In my spare time, I enjoy reading and off-roading with my husband in our Jeep.

As an academic school counselor, my goal is to help your student(s) be healthy socially and emotionally, thus creating an environment to be successful academically.  I will meet regularly with classes to present information they need to manage the challenges of middle school.  I will also see small groups of students to work on specific skills that may be lacking.  I want to make sure every student at A.C. Blunt is socially and emotionally ready for the next chapter in their academic lives.
